WARRANTY
At Ottoman Home Decor, we take pride in the quality of our craftsmanship. We offer a one-year warranty on the frame, build, and stitching of all furniture purchased from us. If there is a genuine issue with your furniture upon delivery, we are committed to working with you to find a suitable resolution.
Please note that custom orders using customer-supplied fabric are not covered under this warranty.
Animal-Related Damage: This warranty does not cover any damage caused by animals, including but not limited to pet hair accumulation, scratch marks, claw marks, tears, punctures, chewing damage, staining from inter alia urine or feces, odors, or any other form of wear, deterioration, or destruction resulting from contact with or proximity to animals. Clients are responsible for protecting furniture from animal-related damage, and any such damage will void the applicable portions of this warranty.
REFUNDS, RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS POLICY
1. Made-to-Order / Custom Furniture
All products sold by Ottoman Home Decor (Ottoman HD) are made-to-order and custom manufactured based on the client’s selected specifications (including but not limited to size, fabric, colour, and configuration).
Once an order is placed, the selected color cannot be changed unless we are notified within 48 hours of purchase. This is because manufacturing may begin immediately.
As such:

- No refunds or returns will be accepted for custom-made items once the order has been confirmed and/or production has commenced.
- By placing an order, the client acknowledges and agrees that the item is being specifically manufactured for them.
Color Disclaimer: Colors chosen from our swatch collection are as close as possible to the actual fabric, but slight variations may occur. Refunds will not be provided for minor color differences.
Custom Orders & Deposits: For custom orders made through LayUp & Float, a 10% deposit is required to secure the order. While any payments made beyond this deposit will be refunded if the order is canceled, the initial deposit itself is non-refundable.
2. Order Cancellations

- Orders may only be cancelled within 24 hours of placement, provided that production has not yet commenced.
- Approved cancellations may be subject to a reasonable administration and processing fee.
- Once production has started, cancellation is no longer permitted.
3. Change of Mind
Ottoman HD does not offer refunds or returns for:

- Change of mind
- Incorrect selections made by the client (including dimensions, fabrics, colours, or configurations)
Clients are encouraged to review all product details carefully before placing an order.
4. Defective or Damaged Goods
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA):

- If a product is delivered defective, damaged, or not as described, the client must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Valid claims may qualify for a repair, replacement, or refund, subject to inspection and approval.
5. Delivery & Inspection
-
- Clients are required to inspect goods upon delivery.
- Any visible damage must be reported immediately to the delivery team and to Ottoman HD.
6. Refund Processing (Where Applicable)

- Approved refunds (where legally applicable) will be processed within 7–14 working days.
- Refunds will be made via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
7. Agreement
By placing an order on www.ottomanhd.co.za, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
DISCOUNT CODES
Only one discount code may be applied per order.
Any orders attempting to combine multiple discount codes will be canceled and refunded.
LEAD TIME
Our standard manufacturing and delivery timeframes are as follows:
Gauteng: 7-14 business days. However, in some instances, orders may be delayed by a day or two due to factors such as load shedding, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Outside Gauteng: Additional time may be required due to external courier circumstances.
Custom Orders: Orders involving modified dimensions or bespoke designs may require additional processing time.
Delays & Unforeseen Circumstances:
External factors such as bad weather, load shedding, or strikes may affect lead times. Should a delay occur, we will notify you promptly to make alternative arrangements.
DELIVERY & INSTALLATION
Complimentary Installation: While we offer installation as a courtesy, our delivery team reserves the right to decline installation if deemed necessary.
Property Damage: Ottoman Home Decor is not liable for any damages to your property that may occur during installation or delivery.
Courier Shipments (Outside Gauteng): Once an item is handed over to a third-party courier, we are not responsible for any damages. The courier company assumes liability after signing off on the item in good condition.
DEPOSITS & PAYMENT TERMS
For large orders, we offer a deposit payment option:
A minimum 60% deposit is required. The remaining balance must be settled before delivery.
Orders will not be dispatched until full payment is received.
